Vienna: At the IfraExpo dataplan premiered the JournalSuite 5.
Visitors to the dataplan stand at the Expo could acquaint themselves with current developments and modules. Particular interest was shown in the JournalDesigner WebClient, the latest addition to the JournalSuite.
dataplan very successful with Enterprise Publishing in the US
Reed Business Information USA (RBI) has gone far toward achieving Enterprise Publishing. It has been a collaborative effort with their printer, Fry Communications Inc. as well as dataplan GmbH, RBI’s Germany-based software developer.
John Blanchard, Vice President of Operations RBI, indicates that “dataplan is the production manage-and-control entity we have envisioned for years.”

PPA Magazine Production Conference and Awards 2008 in London

Automatrix plc – dataplan’s distributor in Great Britain - and dataplan participated in PPA’s Magazine Production Conference and Awards 2008.
PPA (Periodical Publishers Association) is the association for publishers and providers of consumer, customer and business media in the UK.
The annual conference is the highlight in the production calendar providing the perfect opportunity for magazine production professionals to explore the industry as its stands today and will evolve tomorrow.
Following the conference, the PPA Magazine Production Awards were presented at a gala awards ceremony and dinner. The winner of PPA’s Magazine Production Awards 2008 in category “Creative Production initiative of the year within a publishing company” was announced by Mr. Klaus Müller from dataplan. The award was presented to Bauer London Lifestyle for 3D front cover effects for Empire 'Hulk' edition.
